Annual Report 2019-2020

Good day to all.

I take privilege to be here to present the annual report of this year.

Infant Jesus Public school started its venture in 1973 by CMC congregation with the vision of our founder St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias. His insight to form schools with churches was the inspiration. This school moves with a far sighted vision and I am happy to hold it’s steering as the Principal. I joined this school to take my duty on May 2019. I had my goal to fulfill in mission for the past two and a half decade in North. I was called back to take up this duty to lead this school and is happy to do my duty with pleasure. Our Manager Rev Sr Jolly CMC also joined us this year.

Our academic year started on 1st June 2019 as kindergarten inaugural function. This day was made colourful by them. Regular classes for all sessions started on 3rd June2019.My faculty: I am proud to have a wonderful set of teachers with dedication .They play a key role in sharpening the talents of our students.

This year CBSE has formed the HUB of learning. It is a group of Six CBSE schools in an area where they come together to co-ordinate and co- relates things both academically and co- curriculary. The HUB groups move hand in hand to discuss the various frameworks to be done with in schools.

This HUB consists of the following schools:
Toc H Public school Vytilla
Toc H Public school Tripunithura
Green Valley Public School Nellikuzhy
Irshadiya Public School Kothamangalam
Amrita Vidyalayam Edappally
Infant Jesus Public School N Paravur

Infrastructure: Our classrooms are equipped with audio visual screens to make education more creative. So that even the odd parts of the lessons are cleared with examples. Besides all this we have well furnished labs for all subjects. Library with innumerable books of wisdom guides to support each lesson.

Academic Excellence: We stand with our head held high in town for best results. We strongly prove excellence by scoring 100% results in board examination. The preservance of teachers to maintain result is praise worthy. We have been awarded for excellence Central Sahodaya, by Vimala Province and by Paravur municipality. This year two special awards were given, one for top scorer in Chemistry, in loving memory of MS Shalini TP who left us leaving a shock, a real gap is still felt. The other one for all round best performer was given in memory of Mr Venugopal sir who left us a few days back.

Co Curricular activities: Co Curricular are designed and balanced with academics, so that every students gets chance to learn beyond subjects. It includes leadership quality, apprehension, cultural events, athletics, classroom activities etc. The excellent example of cultural enrichment was the Central Sahodaya Zonal Kalolsav which was conducted in our school; we took privilege in hosting this wonderful event without any fault. We were congratulated by the secretary of Sahodaya for the wonderful co ordination and functioning of the event.

Students are given awareness class in all walks of life, so that they value their lives; keep up self esteem and dignity. I am very keen and adamant in keeping no flaws for the good going of discipline in school. Personality development and stress management class for the outgoing students this year was given by Rev Fr George kuzhukattil. Steps were taken to mould students and parents to face this period. The best aspect of co curricular activities at school is that they are part of academics and makes teaching and learning experience exciting for teachers and students. We have bagged 2nd prize in Central Sahodhaya Football tournament for categories under 14 and under 19. Also 2nd prize in interschool tournament at Ranimatha public school, Ernakulum our students bagged prizes for state Central Sahodhaya youth festival conducted in different schools.

We do have our Alumni meet occasionally in our school which is also the highlight of this year. Students who have excelled in life from here were happy to share experience and pen message to the group.

School Picnic: This year children had great experience .They had opportunity to visit places as well as collaborate well with peers, acquire knowledge of behavioural skills. Besides all this they had a wonderful leisure time too.

Christmas Celebration: Every class had the opportunity to enjoy this great advent season.
